The apocalypse arrives.

Natural disasters, mutated animals and plants: humanity faces a crisis of survival.

Some humans evolve supernatural abilities beyond ordinary limits.

With the help of ability users and the all-powerful top-tier AI "Promise," the survivors flee underground and win a brief respite. The price is spending every day holed up in underground cities where the sun never shines.

In the tenth year of the apocalypse, humanity wants to return to the surface.

The first step is to conduct an on-site survey and assessment of the world above.

To that end, the human leadership decides to send out a team of high-level ability users, forming an "Exploration Team."

For the sake of balance, the Exploration Team is still missing one civilian ability user.

Who should they choose?

They can't decide, so they hold a selection event in the underground city.

Unexpectedly, although they're supposed to be choosing a civilian ability user, the one who gets picked is a little robot...

Bai Lu may be a little robot, but he's astonishingly beautiful and has an extremely frail constitution.

His silver hair, which gleams with a metallic sheen, also puts his teammate, the powerful ability-user General Fu Yu, on high alert.

The moment Fu Yu sees him, he raises the hilt of the sword that symbolizes his status as a Guardian. Its sharp blade barely grazes Bai Lu's cheek.

"I hate artificial intelligence, AI, androids, robots, and that sort of thing. You look a lot like an android, so you'd better stay away from me."

Though Bai Lu is an android, he has a temper too. "Funny, I hate rude people too."

After they reach the surface,

Bai Lu's three incredibly powerful ability-user teammates look at him and all think the same thing: He has a beautiful face and looks so frail. I have to protect him.

But...

Mutated animals leave as if they haven't even noticed Bai Lu.

Twisted plants wrap around him, not to drain his life, but simply to cling to him and cuddle.

Even more baffling, he has extraordinary precognitive abilities, always able to guide the team along the right path through the fog and uncertainty.

After Bai Lu has helped the team out of danger for the umpteenth time:

Bai Lu: So who's protecting whom? Let's get that straight.

Facing the dangers and unknowns ahead,

Bai Lu leads humanity back to the surface.

He is a beacon, humanity's guide, and humanity's "savior."

Meanwhile, Fu Yu begins preparing his eighteenth confession to Bai Lu.

1. Not a power fantasy. Plot-driven, with a little ensemble cast (the main group has four people). It may start slowly, follows a savior's journey, and mainly focuses on exploring different locations.
