The Moon Sinks

Beloved by all, gentle and levelheaded bottom x devoted, loyal-dog top

A meeting destined to end in separation, an unspoken mutual attraction.

A farewell spoken only at the moment of departure, a reunion that can never return to what it was.

Lu Jinyue has a gentle, graceful face. When he looks at people, his eyes shimmer like spring water, warm and tender.

His personality is just like his face. Everyone who knows him thinks his temper is unbelievably good. No matter what kind of trouble or hardship he faces, he always smiles warmly, his eyes shimmering.

A gorgeous man with a pretty face and a good temper is naturally never short of admirers, and Lu Jinyue never acts arrogant. He is considerate toward every single person who pursues him.

But strangely, none of his relationships ever last long.

You'd think no one would want to break up with a partner as close to perfect as him, but every one of his boyfriends ends things after a few months, always for the same reason: they feel that Lu Jinyue doesn't like them.

Lu Jinyue is kind to everyone, so no one feels special.

Everyone regrets it afterward and comes back hoping to get back together, but no one ever succeeds.

Lu Jinyue never goes back to an ex.

The top's perspective:

The first time the top meets Lu Jinyue, he's being harassed by his ex-boyfriend.

After their eyes meet, the top finds himself walking over as if compelled by some unseen force.

The top knows that Lu Jinyue will be going abroad soon, and that he won't accept a long-distance relationship. This is a flirtation doomed to go nowhere.

He also knows that Lu Jinyue has never taken back any of his exes, whether or not they parted on good terms.

But he still wants to try, to see if he can be the exception.

After the moon sinks, we're still together.
