The Rebellious Teen's Mom Is Back

After she transmigrates into a book, Yan Zhi is quite satisfied.

Her husband is the handsome, wealthy, and promising man she married for business reasons.

Someday, she'll have a son who is the male lead of a novel: well-behaved, clever, and destined for a bright future.

But a bug in the world sends Yan Zhi to another time and place after just one year in the book.

When she returns, she still has the body of a woman in her early twenties, but her husband has aged more than ten years.

There's also a rebellious teenager with a head of blond hair in the family.

.

When Shi Yan sees Yan Zhi, he yells at his father, "You wanted me to do whatever you say, so you just picked some random woman and told me she was my biological mother?"

Yan Zhi is furious too. She demands of Shi Qingyu, "Who did you have this blondie with? What have you done to my sweet, adorable son?"

Shi Qingyu: "..."

What can a man do when his wife and son are at odds?

Pamper them, of course.

.

Shi Yan comes home after a fight and glares indignantly at Yan Zhi. "If you were my real mom, you'd take good care of me and bandage me up."

Yan Zhi tosses him a roll of gauze. "If I were your real mom, I'd have kicked you, you little ingrate, out of the house ages ago."

Shi Yan runs away from home. When Yan Zhi finds him, he looks aggrieved. "You say you're my mom, but you couldn't even come looking for me right away."

Yan Zhi tosses him her coat and mocks him mercilessly. "My son would never be such a coward. He wouldn't run away from home by squatting somewhere I can spot him at a glance."

One day, Shi Qingyu comes home to find his son frying eggs in the kitchen.

After choosing his words carefully, Shi Qingyu says, "Xiao Yan, if you're really not comfortable here, I can agree to your request to live at school."

Shi Yan scoffs. "If I'm not here, who's going to make her breakfast every day?"

.

After getting her son in line, Yan Zhi tactfully approaches Shi Qingyu to ask for a divorce. "Mr. Shi, you're a good man, but I'm too immature for a mature man like you."

For the first time, she sees a dark expression cross the face of a man who never shows his emotions.

That very night, in the master bedroom, Yan Zhi discovers just how much "ability" a mature man can have.
