Why Is 5T5's Fiancée Like This?

[Currently writing: The Compatibility of Taoist Arts and Cursed Techniques, CP 285]

Taira Wakaba is a descendant of Taira no Masakado, one of Japan's three great vengeful spirits, and the legitimate daughter of the Taira clan, a family of sorcerers that has lived in seclusion in Kyoto for a thousand years.

While the elders of her family trembled in terror before the curse, all she wanted was to get stronger, strong enough to break the fate of the curse.

Half a month after getting engaged to Gojo's Divine Child, himself descended from one of the three great vengeful spirits, she got her wish and escaped Kyoto to attend Tokyo Jujutsu High.

From then on, the sea was hers to swim, the sky hers to fly.

*

After briefly meeting his fiancee a few times, 5t5 came back and complained to his best friend Geto:

"She's so weak, just some stiff Yamato Nadeshiko. Boring as hell."

She called everyone "sir" and "madam," could only manage wooden smiles, and was out of breath after taking a few steps...

A weak fiancee like that was totally unworthy of him, right?!

↑↑↑

That was 5t5's entire review of his fiancee.

He even made a bold declaration: "If I ever fall for her, I'll jump into Tokyo Bay!"

*

But when they met again, before Gojo Satoru could even say hello,

Wakaba, still holding a grudge over his prank the last time they'd met, punched that pretty face with all her might...

And then--

Geto Suguru watched the girl hike up her skirt and step on his friend's head.

"Satoru, is this the... Yamato Nadeshiko you were talking about?"

Didn't you say she'd fall in love with you at first sight and do whatever you asked?

Wakaba put down the brick she'd used as a weapon, smoothed her skirt, and smiled with particular gentleness. "If I hadn't wanted to get out of that hellhole called Kyoto, I'd have smashed this bastard's head in the first time I saw him."

She'd been holding back for ages. Her fists were rock hard!

*

In public, Taira Wakaba is elegant and well-mannered, quiet and composed, and gentle with others. She's a noble young lady everyone praises.

In private, when Taira Wakaba, who holds the family's power in her hands, faces questions from the higher-ups in the jujutsu world, she covers her mouth with a fan and says sweetly, "You scraps of the jujutsu world have some nerve."

"Bother me again and I'll kill you~"

And she means it--

Some time later, Taira Wakaba blows up the Jujutsu Headquarters...

*

5t5's impression of his fiancee:

At first: A stiff Yamato Nadeshiko, super weak, and not satisfying to pick on.

Then: She's pretty interesting, and she's not bad at fighting either. It's just not great that she keeps bashing his head in. She likes sweets? Good taste, though she eats like a pig.

Next: Yikes~ What a shameless girl!!!

After that: Damn, I think I'm starting to lose it. Wait, was she doing that on purpose before?!

Finally: "So curious about the type of girl your teacher likes? I absolutely lo~ve Yamato Nadeshiko." "Eh, you want to introduce one to me? No need."

Because he's waiting for someone.

Basically, it's the story of a high school student who's outwardly a Yamato Nadeshiko and very good at acting, but actually short-tempered, a little underhanded, and kind of twisted, with a background as a well-born young lady (?).

[Reader's Guide]

1. OOC warning. There are mountains of personal headcanons, so if you're uncomfortable, click the X and leave!

2. Taira no Masakado was a real person, but I made up the cursed technique.

3. Wakaba has a very bad temper, but she's also very capable and loves being direct.

4. A daily-life romance with some plot, but not much. No angst, no angst, no angst.

----New Story Coming Soon----

[Supporting a Family in Yokohama with the Classic of Mountains and Seas]

A strange girl suddenly appears in postwar Yokohama--

She wears traditional Chinese clothing and holds an old book. Her black hair reaches her ankles, and her delicate face has a cool, aloof air.

At the same time--

Overnight, a vast island completely shrouded in clouds and mist appears in the nearby sea, fading in and out of sight.

The authorities can't investigate it, and no one else can enter.

*

When the girl leaves briefly and returns, she's accompanied by a gloomy young man wrapped in bandages from head to toe.

Dazai points at the island and asks, "Hey, hey, are we going there?"

"Yeah. Cloud Island, our home."

He hesitates. "...Home?"

--Here, there are things I found that I'll never lose again.

Later, Dazai points at Tingting, a white dog in its original form, and complains, "Why is the dog I made a contract with? Ew~ I hate dogs the most! Miyue, I want to return it!"

Tingting, who can hear people's inner thoughts, half-lifts its eyelids. "That was a lie this time."

Miyue: "Got it."

*

When his background is bluntly questioned, Chuuya bristles. "What the hell are you talking about?! I'm human!"

Miyue is confused. "But your soul... really resembles a young mythical beast?"

Won't listen? Knock him out and take him home first.

--Whether you're human or god doesn't matter. My home is full of all kinds of monsters anyway.

Later, Chuuya excitedly shows off his contracted mythical beast and laughs triumphantly. "Hahaha! You lost, bastard Dazai! Mine's a dragon!"

Yinglong, with wings and everything. The kind that can fly!

Isn't it super cool?

Dazai: "Chuuya, even with a telescope, I can't find you on that dragon's back~!"

*

Miyue swears she didn't willingly bring this black-haired cat-boy home:

"I don't care. You made me lose my job, so you have to take me home!"

Ranpo makes his demands with complete confidence. "I'm hungry. I want snacks... Wait, I know! Your home--mmph."

He faked an accident!

--In this world full of idiots, my family doesn't force me to grow up.

Later, Ranpo gets a nanny: "Yingzhao, don't tell Miyue that the great detective exceeded his snack limit today!"

"No."

Yingzhao is exhausted. Besides managing the mythical beasts of Cloud Island, he has to look after troublesome human children.

*

The brood of children keeps growing.

[Note: The child-raising timeline may not follow the order in the blurb.]

*

The residents of Cloud Island are active in Yokohama's various factions, and Miyue doesn't restrict them.

But if her family gets bullied, is she supposed to just let it go?

Ha! Who cares what you think!

Miyue decisively unleashes her ultimate move, and Yokohama becomes a stage for a stampede of beasts.

Mythical beasts from the Classic of Mountains and Seas pour out in full force, blotting out the sun...

Only in the end do Yokohama's bigwigs realize that the ridiculously powerful head of the family is actually a greengrocer selling fruit, vegetables, and seafood?!

"Miyue, you're from China, right? Why have you never gone back?"

For the first time, Miyue shows her grievance in front of everyone. "After the founding of the country, spirits aren't allowed to take human form." I ran straight into a barrier and couldn't get back.

So I could only come to (torment) Japan.

At least I can see it across the sea, right?

[Reader's Guide]

1. OOC warning. Mountains of personal headcanons, mountains of personal headcanons!!!

2. The CP will probably appear in a bonus chapter. To be decided.

3. I just want to give the Bungo Stray Dogs cast a happy parallel world.

4. This story will probably have scenes of Dazai raising crabs, Chuuya building houses, Ranpo growing vegetables, and other farming-life activities.

5. Mostly family and daily life. The female lead has an absolutely, ridiculously overpowered ability!

Theme: Love is the most twisted curse.
