The story began long, long ago in the ancient past. The Van Helsing family is an ancient lineage. Under the leadership of its patriarch, Matthew, they have kept the vicious, cunning vampire clan under tight control, preventing them from harming people in the human world. This balance lasted until the start of the new millennium, when a band of thieves led by Marcus broke into the Van Helsing family estate. The thieves stole what appeared to be valuable grave goods, but in the process, they accidentally broke the curse that had kept the vampires imprisoned for thousands of years. The vampires have awakened, and the end of humanity is at hand. Faced with this crisis, the Van Helsing family returns to the battlefield after a long absence to confront their old enemy. But after their long imprisonment, the vampires have become even more evil and savage.
While Jin An was still an embryo, Matthew Van Helsing took her and used Dracula's blood in an experiment to save his own daughter.
As a result, Dracula's blood flows through Jin An's veins, but she is still human. She and Dracula share a bond as if bound together by fate.
She makes a deal with Matthew, using her blood to extend his life. In return, Matthew must keep watch over Dracula's body and make sure he never awakens.
If he awakens, he will come looking for Jin An. She is the only person bound to him by fate.
Jin An keeps having the same dream. She and a man are trapped together in the darkness. She used to think it was just a nightmare, and that as long as Dracula didn't awaken from the darkness, it would never come true.
Many centuries ago, a vampire named Dracula terrorized the world. The vampire hunter Van Helsing destroyed the other vampires, but could never kill him. The hunter discovered that Dracula hated everything associated with Christianity: crosses, Bibles, silver coins. But none of these things could kill him. Dracula was only a name. His true identity traced back to the ancient age of Christ, where his first name was Judas.
He was lonely, so he kept turning others into vampires, only to quickly grow bored of them. Jin An alone was different.
She was born to belong to him, and she would inevitably remain by his side.
She was the only one who belonged to him without needing to be turned, the only one who could sense his unique presence.
Adapted from the film Dracula 2000.
Theme: A tangled bond of love and hate with Dracula.
Alas, the next two chapters are locked. Does Dracula rely on blood to maintain his vitality? Isn't that the public enemy of mankind?
