A mysterious guest suddenly arrives in a remote mountain village.

Wu Qi hears there might be free food, so she scurries over to the clearing in her straw sandals.

"What's going on here?" she asks curiously, poking the little kid beside her on the cheek.

"My dad said they're here to pick people," the kid says after a pause. "It's called... tennis!"

Wu Qi asks casually, "Can you make money doing that?"

The kid nods conspiratorially. "I heard you can go to town, and they cover your food and lodging!"

Wu Qi instinctively swallows.

A middle-aged woman walks back and forth in front of a group of kids, asking them all sorts of questions.

Wu Qi charges straight up to her. "I want to play that tennis thing too!"

Sorry, Coach Liu. I think I only wanted to play tennis so I could escape this prison of a family.

And so Wu Qi, a little girl with dollar signs in her eyes, begins a life of making money through tennis.

Tuition? Earned through tennis!

Pretty clothes? Earned through tennis!

A car and a house? Earned through tennis!

The new tennis court in the village? Paid for with tennis earnings!

The thing is, Wu Qi may shine like a star in front of everyone, but she's actually a money-grubbing miser, and a serious cheapskate at that!

Agent: "The publisher wants you to sign these and send them back."

Wu Qi: "Make sure they pay the postage!"

Reporter: "Congratulations on winning your first Grand Slam! The final clay-court title was hard-won. How do you feel right now?"

Wu Qi: "As expected, the prize money feels even better, sob!"

Luo Wenxia, a programmer in her previous life, opens her eyes and finds herself in a cyberpunk interstellar world.

Good news: she's alive, and she doesn't have to pay off her two-million-yuan mortgage anymore!

Bad news: she's penniless, diagnosed with cyberpsychosis, and being hunted by a mysterious force!!

Seriously?!

Everyone else who transmigrates gets to dominate the newbie zone. Why does she have to start leveling up from scratch?!

Whatever, she's here now! If these greedy capitalists don't value the lives of the "dead machines" at the bottom of society, then why not do something big? If the "cancer cells" of this damned capitalist society are spreading without limit, then let's destroy the entire interstellar world together!

At first, the puppet leaders of the Federation government look at the files on the table with disdain.

"A ragtag crew. Nothing to worry about."

Luo Wenxia, hacker, physically weak and suffering from cyberpsychosis.

Vera, mercenary, strong in body but dim-witted.

Xiahou Xue, news anchor. Apart from her looks and eloquence, what else has she got?

But later, the capital companies behind the government fall one after another, and public opinion about the interstellar government takes a sharp turn for the worse.

Brilliant minds, strong bodies, the courage to charge ahead, the tenacity to keep resisting...

None of that is "nothing to worry about"!

Later still, even the mastermind behind it all is locked away in a cell, wishing for death.

They prove that a ragtag crew can be the best team around.

As they overthrow the capitalist puppet government and establish a brand-new Interstellar Federation, a post appears on the forums:

"I found the best team!"

Joyce reads the post aloud to everyone:

"Luo Wenxia, the far-sighted eagle.

Vera, the battle-ready wolf.

Xiahou Xue, the tiger guarding the mountain."

Xiahou Xue gives Luo Wenxia a suspicious look. "You're the bear hibernating through winter."

Luo Wenxia fires back, "Then you're the bird sticking your neck out."

Xiahou Xue: "Am I as pathetic as Vera, the scapegoat lamb?!"

Vera: "..."

"By the way, what are you?" Luo Wenxia suspects Joyce is hiding their identity card.

Joyce rubs their nose. "The cunning fox."

Luo Wenxia snorts. "Yeah, right. You're the troublemaking pest."

All right, they're a ragtag crew, but why can't they rule the stars?

Besides, the entire interstellar world is one giant ragtag crew, right?
