Turns Out My Childhood Friend Is a Boy

Synopsis:

Ran Liang and Xuan Ye, who hadn't seen each other in years, sat down at the same table because they shared the same cousin, Jiajia, and had both come to the same matchmaking gathering.

Ran Liang stared at Xuan Ye in confusion, searching his memories.

After a long pause, Ran Liang asked in disbelief, "Weren't you a girl?"

At a class reunion dinner, Ran Liang had a bit too much to drink and stepped outside the bar for some air.

From a dark alley around the corner came sounds of trouble. Ran Liang strode over and shouted, "Let go!"

After Ran Liang called his colleague over, the "girl" he'd rescued took off his wig and smiled. "Ran Liang, it's me."

He was so beautiful that Ran Liang didn't dare look at him. He grumbled, "Don't try to sweet-talk a cop."

Xuan Ye's skirt swirled as he walked over and stepped closer, eyeing Ran Liang's trembling jaw. "Got a cigarette?"

As if possessed, Ran Liang lit one, took a puff, then passed it to Xuan Ye.

Xuan Ye accepted it and smiled as he put the cigarette between his lips. Light and shadow played across his face, bright one moment and dim the next, making him look utterly dreamlike.

Ran Liang promptly got a nosebleed.

Cousin Jiajia thought something was off. Her two well-behaved cousins had recently become a little hard to boss around.

She called Xuan Ye, but Ran Liang's hoarse voice came through the receiver instead. "Cousin, what's up?"

"I'm looking for Xuan Ye."

"Huh? What are you two doing together?"

There was a flurry of footsteps, then Ran Liang spoke again. "Honey, Cousin's looking for you."

Cousin Jiajia: Shocking! My two cousins got together, and I set them up!

Sunny, rugged, big-dog seme Ran Liang x tsundere, flirtatious beauty uke Xuan Ye. Cop x doctor, not a crime investigation story, one-on-one romance, happy ending, and a lively, cozy life together.

Notes:

1. To clarify, Ran Liang and Xuan Ye are not related in any way. Cousin Jiajia's father is Ran Liang's maternal uncle, and her mother is Xuan Ye's maternal aunt.

2. Dr. Xuan's fondness for wearing skirts is a little hobby. He's a man, identifies as a man, and likes men.

Theme: Stay positive and embrace a beautiful life.
