[Qi Gu] Beloved

Who is Gu Xichao?

He knew astronomy above and geography below, and understood benevolence and harmony. He understood yin and yang, the Eight Trigrams, the art of strange gates, and the art of concealment. He could devise strategies within his tent and secure victory a thousand miles away. He considered himself as wise as Yue Yi and Guan Zhong.

They met one night at the tavern. Yet Qi and Gu were never meant to walk the same path. They pressed each other at every turn, and the rivers and lakes ran red with blood. At last, they faced off before the throne, and the drama of victor and vanquished finally came to an end.

Beneath the moon, the young man in blue stood with his hands behind his back, as if ready to ride the wind away.

Qi Shaoshang, I will spend the rest of my life searching for the one fate has chosen for me.

Eight years passed, and the poplar blossoms drifted down time and again. Gu Lanyue told the visitor with certainty, "That man in blue, with his curly hair, looks exactly like my father in my dreams."
