The Story of the Precious Fan

Xie Baoshan, the illegitimate second daughter of the Duke of Xinguo's household, lost her mother at an early age. As a daughter who could easily be overlooked, she naturally received little attention from her father. She learned young that if she wanted something, she had to fight for it herself. But some things simply could never be won, no matter how hard she tried. She met Prince Huai when they were children. By the time they grew up, he had become a prince ruling his own fief. Xie Baoshan knew they were destined to love each other without ever being together, but she was unwilling to follow her stepmother's wishes and repeat her mother's fate. So she had no choice but to enter the palace, though she could never forget that young man. From the first moment Prince Huai saw Xie Baoshan, he fell for her. He had planned to marry her and make her his Princess Consort Huai once he had distinguished himself. But when he returned to the capital from the frontier, Xie Baoshan had grown more and more distant from him for the sake of her family... At last, the two meet again in the depths of the palace. One has become the Empress Dowager, and the other the regent aiding the young emperor? Read the blurb carefully, and beware of potential pitfalls!
