Growing a Kyojuro

[Next up: My Future Husband Is Oikawa Toru. If you're interested, feel free to add it to your favorites~]

Blurb:

After quitting your job and returning to your hometown to inherit the farm, you casually bury a mysterious seed.

A few days later, a huge golden-red fruit grows in the field

With a soft "pop," the fruit splits open, revealing a handsome young man from the owl clan, with golden hair tipped in red and tufts of feathers sticking up. He lies inside.

He opens his dazzling golden-red eyes and speaks brightly:

"Hello! I'm Rengoku Kyojuro."

You think this is the height of your fantastical daily life.

But then the tsundere, sharp-tongued Yuichiro, the gentle, smiling Kanae, Sabito and Makomo...

One after another, they sprout from the seeds you planted.

You look up at the sky. Grandpa, has our farm become sentient?

You think you've simply gained a group of "family members" with a distinctive style.

Only later do you learn that your farm has a passageway connecting it to another world, and that they all came from there. Each of them was a swordsman whose life was taken by a "demon."

And those demons fear sunlight most of all.

You look down at the yellowed illustrated guide in your hands, your gaze stopping on one page:

"Sunlight Fruit: A magical fruit that emits powerful sunlight continuously after being eaten."

A bold idea quietly takes root.

You raise the page and look at your companions, all "grown from seeds," with shining eyes:

"How about... from today on, we grow these instead?"

So, Muzan, is it?

Just wait. Sooner or later, I'll show you what it means to be "bathed in sunlight"!

Reading notes:

1. The focus is on cozy farming life. The Demon Slayer storyline comes later and doesn't take up much of the book.

2. The heroine's world is similar to Zootopia, but people are human-shaped and retain only some animal traits. She's a gray, lop-eared rabbit. Her pairing is with Kyojuro, though the romance may not be everyone's cup of tea.

3. The main text uses second person. There are many original character interpretations, so they may be out of character. The writing is terrible and the story is mostly a sequence of events, so please bear with me.

4. The farm is inspired by Stardew Valley.

Thesis: Grow a home filled with warmth.
