Inheritance

Jiang Fan found the inheritance his father had left him in the tower: a succubus with golden hair and blue eyes, as beautiful as an angel.

The succubus had a pure heart. It would only be useful if he willingly offered it up.

Jiang Fan had to get his heart.

So he freed him from the tower and let him walk beneath the sunlight. Jiang Fan granted his every wish, presenting priceless treasures just to make him smile. Whenever he felt unwell, Jiang Fan would drop everything to be with him, pampering him in every way and doing everything lovers might do.

Day after day, the succubus lowered all his defenses and fell deeply in love.

Until one night, Jiang Fan was gravely wounded, waiting for that pure heart to save his life.

The succubus smiled, his eyes curving. He pierced Jiang Fan's chest and whispered gently, “How dare you imagine a succubus could love you?”

*

Everyone said Jiang Fan was madly in love with a lowly succubus.

Only Yiding didn't believe it.

He was a succubus. Succubi were born able to see whether love was genuine.
