His Majesty the Demon King Requests to Touch Your Horns

Tang Nai was reborn, back to the days long ago when he was still studying at the Demon School.

This time, he would protect everyone around him and become a better Demon King.

So he also decided to put the past behind him and protect his archenemy, Lucas.

Lucas was his fated nemesis. They'd been at each other's throats since birth, unable to stand one another and determined to outdo each other. As children, they competed over whose horns and bat wings looked cooler. At school, they competed over who got better grades. After becoming Demon Kings, they competed over who had the better record in office.

Who could have imagined they'd eventually make peace and fight side by side?

Mindful of that bond, Tang Nai did his best to rein in his competitiveness and ignore Lucas's provocations. When Lucas came first in an exam, he congratulated him. When Lucas ran into trouble, he helped him out.

After this happened several times, Lucas declared, "You think this means you can be friends with me? Dream on!"

Then the next day, he tossed some delicious treats his mother had made onto Tang Nai's desk. "My mom insisted I give these to you!"

Tang Nai: "...All right, then."

Lucas was reborn too. He discovered that he and his archenemy had become good friends.

Then he realized his archenemy had been reborn as well.

Lucas silently compared how his archenemy treated him before and after, then, feeling guilty but shameless, decided to keep quiet and enjoy the treatment that an unreborn Lucas would have gotten. Fortunately, the Demon God was watching over them, and before he could enjoy it for long, the truth came out in a delightfully satisfying way.

Faced with Tang Nai's angry expression, Lucas frantically remembered that Tang Nai had once said he really liked his horns.

So he lowered his head in a panic and offered his horns without resistance. "You can touch my horns. Please don't be mad, okay?"

Later, Lucas would do the same thing, usually saying, "You can touch my horns. Can I sleep in the bed tonight?"
