Criminal Profiling

(Blurb to be revised) Zhou Chen is the captain of the criminal investigation team in Ling'an City. He has three years of undercover experience in narcotics investigations, ranked among the top in every skill at military academy, and is a well-known figure in law enforcement.

One day, a profiler joined the team. Zhou Chen had always trusted only his gun and his own brain, so he didn't trust this colleague who sounded like he was all talk.

Until later...

When faced with a serial killer who worked at astonishing speed and dismembered his victims, the team was at a loss. Shen Zhao used his "intuition" to reason through the clues and helped them catch the culprit within seventy-two hours.

While reviewing the case files, Shen Zhao stared silently for a long time at photos of the victim's dismembered, cooked remains and the traces left at the scene. Then, with a startling remark, he described the victim's physical features and helped capture the killer who had been on the run for ten years.

The evidence showed that Shen Zhao was not only good with words, but also excellent at solving cases. Only later did Zhou Chen learn that someone who seemed so impressive could actually be quite a handful.

He was fastidious, taciturn, and had a tongue as sharp as his looks. He was afraid of the dark, suffered from insomnia, disliked rainy days, and didn't like sweets...

Zhou Chen sighed. "Could he make any other (male) friends besides me?"

Later, as he pieced together the clues and the fog lifted, he discovered that he and Shen Zhao had been fated to meet long ago.

A doting, loyal-dog captain who fusses like a mother x a cold-hearted, beautiful, strong, and tragic profiler
