Torn Apart by the Uncanny, I Become a Sensation in Higher-Dimensional Worlds as I Die

Also known as: Survival Simulator: Wilderness Showdown

///

The uncanny descended upon Earth. At the moment Chen Ci was torn to pieces, he heard the laughter of a higher-dimensional being.

“Carbon-based entertainment unit now online. Player deployed to ‘Screaming Wilderness.’”

“Welcome, player. Please start the livestream. Your fear level will attract viewers to tip ‘Stardust,’ which can be exchanged for survival gear.”

Chen Ci licks his frostbitten skin on the ice field and dances atop lava to stay alive. Every brush with death sends the livestream chat into a frenzy:

“Fear level reached! A tip has unlocked the ‘Abyssal Worm Stomach Acid Dagger.’”

“Do another high-altitude fall! We’ve got Stardust to spare!”

When Chen Ci finally collects enough Stardust to exchange for the ultimate weapon, the comments flood the screen:

“Don’t go! ‘Screaming Wilderness’ just started trending!”

“You’ve boosted the popularity of the entire Earth region! Don’t leave now!”

Chen Ci tightens his grip on his weapon and turns to face Earth, his eyes holding a near-numb, twisted calm.

“Uncanny creatures, I’m back, and I’ve brought a ‘gift’ from the universe.”

Shan Mo is a survivor Chen Ci once rescued during his Screaming Wilderness livestream. He built an ark to shelter survivors, all so that one day he could find the figure who still stood tall beneath the blizzard.

The survivors are all glad that their leader is gentle and steady, a guiding light in the darkness.

They don’t know that the man is an inspector from a higher-dimensional universe.

He betrayed the higher dimensions, disguised himself as a human, and uses ruthless methods to shatter all rules. He’ll pay any price to remove every obstacle in his search for Chen Ci.

///

When Chen Ci returns to Earth, Shan Mo tears open a spatial rift from thirty thousand kilometers above and catches the falling man:

“Welcome home, my survivor.”

“From the day you licked your wounds on the ice field, you were the only coordinate left in my observation mirror.”

What a classic male-oriented novel title, hahaha, but it just popped into my head (.

Revenge story. The top isn’t human. He wears a gentle mask, but he’s actually biased and crazy, and he talks a lot, maybe too much.

The bottom has survived alone in the wilderness for a long time. He’s an emotionally numb survival machine who only wants revenge and feels nothing.

Warnings: Both leads are strong! The bottom isn’t weaker than the top. Slow-burn romance, plot-focused.

Theme: Living in harmony with nature
