I Set Up My Mortal Enemy

1

The shou has been feeling down lately.

The Matchmaker Temple is at the bottom of the performance rankings, while its old rival, the Wealth God Temple, which used to be last, has become the top-performing temple of them all.

Watching single men and women walk past the Matchmaker Temple without going inside, the shou is shocked:

Impossible. No one can turn down sweet romance.

Until he hears a widely circulated saying:

"I don't even look at the Matchmaker Temple. I kneel in the Wealth God Hall and never get up."

The shou: "?" Why!

When the shou hears that his rival from the Wealth God Hall has descended to the mortal world to undergo a trial of love, he gets an idea.

If his rival falls in love in the mortal world, might he neglect his work for the sake of his beautiful wife?

So when his rival is alone in a room with a female senior from his department, the shou ties a red thread around them. But...

As soon as he turns around, the thread he just tied snaps.

The shou: "?"

After that, every red thread he ties either snaps or shows up on another man's wrist. The shou is exasperated:

"You can't even find a wife, and you're still so happy. Idiot!"

Later...

The shou twists a thousand red threads into a single red bracelet.

This time it definitely won't break!

He ties it around his rival's wrist first.

When the destined person appears, the bracelet will tie itself around their wrist.

But one day, when he wakes up, the bracelet made from a thousand red threads has suddenly appeared on his own wrist.

The shou: !!!?

The gong has a problem lately.

He's fallen for a junior student, and he knows the junior likes him too. When he was alone in the lab with a female senior from their department, the junior looked both shocked and hurt.

The gong: He's jealous. He's so cute.

The gong wants to date his junior every day.

But the junior is too shy and goes out of his way to avoid him. The gong has no chance to confess, so one day...

He ties the red thread that appeared out of nowhere around the junior's wrist.
