★ More female-dominant and female Alpha/male Omega stories are in the author’s collection ★ Male pregnancy / beloved male lead / married life Su Guan is beautiful, with snow-white skin and flowerlike features. His mother is a sixth-rank Court Ceremonial official, and his father is the only son of a wealthy Suzhou merchant. He has an older sister and an older brother. His sister has been renowned for her literary talent since childhood and was exceptionally admitted to the Imperial Academy, where she is only waiting for the imperial examinations. His brother is gentle and refined, with a reputation as a talented scholar. His life has gone smoothly since childhood. If he had to name one disappointment, it would be that he slept so soundly at the Crown Princess’s husband-selection banquet that he was somehow granted an imperial marriage and carried into the Eastern Palace in a grand bridal sedan to become her principal husband. It wasn’t until their wedding night that he first saw his wife. The bride, dressed in a bright red wedding robe, was elegant and noble, with a smile playing at her lips. One look was all it took to leave him mesmerized. After marrying into the Eastern Palace, Su Guan gained not only a wife who shared his bed and was intimate with him, but also a baby on the way less than three months later. Five years later, watching the children run wild around the courtyard, he can’t help but fret. How did he end up giving birth to so many? The Crown Princess holds him and asks softly: “Do you like the snow-silk just sent from Jiangnan and the coral tribute from the Northern Sea?” Su Guan strokes his barely showing baby bump and answers gently, “Mmm... They’re all right.” Su Guan’s marriage into the Eastern Palace had made countless young masters from noble families jealous. In their eyes, Su Guan’s family wasn’t as well connected as theirs, so why should he get to become the Crown Princess’s husband? Later, Su’s mother joined the cabinet, Su’s father’s family became the richest in Suzhou, Su Guan’s brother married a princess and became a royal consort, and even the top scholar, personally selected by the Emperor after achieving first place in all three stages of the examinations, turned out to be his sister. What’s more, he gave birth to several imperial grandsons in a row. They were all obedient and filial, much loved by the Emperor and Empress, and the Crown Princess doted on him alone. Su Guan lies on a beauty couch, sleeping soundly. Even after giving birth to several children, he still has the youthful freshness of a boy. The Crown Princess gazes at him tenderly, takes off her outer robe, and drapes it over him. When she first saw Su Guan, the young man was leaning against the railing, his eyes clear and innocent. It was obvious he had been doted on as he grew up. Sure enough, at the husband-selection banquet, she heard people say that he was the apple of the Su family’s eye, spoiled beyond reason, and bold enough to fall asleep at the banquet. Looking at the boy, his cheeks flushed from sleep, she thought to herself: So many people already dote on him. What harm would it do if one more did?
