Yu Mian, a rising star in the entertainment industry and a hardcore gamer, took on a fellow fan as her apprentice in an online game. Both master and apprentice were fans of Meng Shu.
Meng Shu is a singer with terrible luck. Despite his distinguished good looks and outstanding talent, he's so obscure that his entire online fanbase numbers barely a thousand. Yu Mian puts on her secret identity and becomes Meng Shu's number-one fan.
Meeting a fellow fan in a game is a rare thing, so Yu Mian spoils her apprentice rotten.
Taking her apprentice through dungeons: "I won't roll for this mount, you roll."
When her apprentice is feeling down: "I'll get you an autographed Meng Shu photo to cheer you up!"
On her apprentice's birthday: "We have to book the most expensive feast and invite everyone!"
Yu Mian: "Apprentice, you have the same birthday as Meng Shu? What a coincidence!"
Later, Meng Shu slowly makes a name for himself and announces a nationwide concert tour. When his apprentice learns that Yu Mian is going to his concert too, they ask her in the game: "Master, can we meet up after the concert?"
It's Yu Mian's first time meeting an online friend in person, but Meng Shu turns up at the meeting spot. Now a superstar, he sits down across from her, calm and composed.
Thinking it was just a chance encounter, Yu Mian excitedly reaches out to greet him: "Mr. Meng! Today's concert was amazing. You must be exhausted!"
"Thank you," Meng Shu says, opening the menu. "Master, what would you like to eat?"
Yu Mian freezes, completely dumbfounded.
#What? The apprentice I took on in the game is actually my idol?!#
