Paying Respects to the Young Mistress

The first time Chi Yun saw her at the residence was on a summer night.

This woman, whose scandalous affair with his father was the talk of the town, had cascading hair and wide sleeves trailing on the ground. Barefoot, she crossed the slick grass and bowed to him. "Greetings, Heir."

Chi Yun: "Who is this?"

The steward hurried over with a lantern and caught only a glimpse of her silhouette. "She's the Prince's woman!"

So she was the new concubine at the residence.

The heir was refined and gentle, a gentleman of grace.

Yu Jing was aloof and proud, with a terrible reputation.

No one ever imagined the two of them together.

At the Mid-Autumn Festival family banquet at the Prince of Zhennan's residence,

Yu Jing accidentally dropped her handkerchief while passing through the garden, but couldn't find it anywhere.

When she returned to her room, she saw the silk handkerchief resting quietly in someone's palm, wrapped around his fingers as he toyed with it carelessly.

Yu Jing lazily gathered her robe around herself and said, "The whole family is gathered outside. How can the heir be missing? Every household has sent people to look for him."

Chi Yun slowly closed the door. "There's no hurry. I've been away from the city for half a month. Let me pay my respects to you first, Concubine."

·Calm and unruffled, masters crossing wits.

·Knowing full well she's luring him in, yet still falling with eyes wide open.
