A Mage's Journey Through Another World

Long-lived races need to find ways to pass the time. August, who runs shops in different worlds, is no exception.

After a conversation sparked by selling supplies to a white-haired, twin-tailed mage of his own kind, August went for a walk and found a little blonde girl who had lost her memory.

"My shop could use another employee..." he mused, deciding it was a good idea.

[The higher-ups who offended the boss]

"Yes, that's right. I tampered with them a little. The effect is something like 'they remember going to work, but forget they need to earn money.'" The captured boss clasped his hands together and smiled. "Until I've collected what I need, this spell... technique can't be reversed."

A white-haired sorcerer asked in an inscrutable tone, "How long will it take you to collect everything?"

"It won't take too long, so don't worry," the boss replied calmly, making a wildly unreasonable demand. "I only need thirty or forty years."

And while he's at it, he'll also cure the employee he found of her amnesia.

[The innocent boss caught up in an unexpected monkey-king love triangle]

"For some reason, these people seem to have a strange grudge against me..." The boss was adapting well to this magical world.

Oh well. What's done is done. Better get started on those orders.

But this hoe that can make the soil more fertile...?

[The boss and the children who escaped to human society]

"When I retrieved that memory, I had encountered her before. It wasn't a pleasant experience, to say the least."

The boss explained to his employee's companions, "I spoke with her and asked if she could wait until I found a friend, or at least a spell that could 'make people happy,' before restoring the rest of her memories."

Now that her companions had found her, it was about time he returned to the days when he ran the shop all by himself.

But somehow, without him noticing, quite a lot had changed.
