I Took Down the Black Lotus and Ran Away (Transmigrated into a Book)

[Skin-hunger syndrome, unhinged male lead x meek, survival-focused female lead]

Wei Xiayan transmigrates into the body of an exile. While escaping, she runs into a handsome young man.

He has bewitching, wicked looks, yet the purest smile in the world. But Wei Xiayan accidentally eats a rare flower he has just acquired.

Jing Yuanbai beams at her. "Either you do it yourself, or I'll do it for you."

With death waiting either way, Wei Xiayan chooses to follow the young man.

-

Before long, she starts feeling uncomfortable all over. The rare flower has side effects, so she...

Accidentally hugs him.

Accidentally kisses him.

And accidentally... one uncontrollable mishap after another.

Jing Yuanbai welcomes every accident.

He says, "Yanyan, if you run away, I'll catch you and dry your blood to use as incense."

Wei Xiayan touches his fingertip, looking perfectly docile. "I won't run away."

-

The handsome young man is sometimes a little odd, but he's so cheerful and gentle.

Wei Xiayan thinks she can coast safely to the ending, until one night under a full moon, she sees a horrifying sight.

The young man strolls out from a mountain of corpses, treading on broken bones. Blood spills from his thin lips, and his eyes are utterly captivating. He says, "Now that you've seen this, you really can't leave."

Wei Xiayan jolts awake from her dream and learns that the seemingly harmless young man is actually the story's biggest villain.

So she flees in the middle of the night.

-

The day Jing Yuanbai finds Wei Xiayan, his hands are still stained with blood.

He hooks a finger beneath her soft chin, leaving a fragrant streak of blood behind.

He says, "Yanyan, it's time for you to love me."

-

Jing Yuanbai is a master perfumer who spends his whole life devoted to fragrance.

One day, Wei Xiayan knocks over his incense ingredients, startling his older brother.

His brother looks at Jing Yuanbai. The younger man merely narrows his eyes. "Brother, Yanyan is my life."

Important Notes

⊙ Very sweet, no angst, 1V1

⊙ The male lead is unhinged and emotionally impaired. He only likes sticking close to the female lead.

⊙ The female lead isn't obedient. Her docility is an act ^^

⊙ Adventure arcs interspersed with romance. Both leads have their own values and are neither self-righteous nor saintly.

⊙ All flowers, plants, and animals that appear here and aren't familiar to you are made up by me. This is a completely fictional world.
