Luring the Spring Moon

Whenever people in Rong City talk about a match made in heaven, they mention the grand wedding that once made headlines throughout the city.

The bride was Ruan Ningyue, a delicate beauty praised as "a spring moon in the heavens." The groom was Feng Xiujun, the powerful head of the Feng family. Even after marriage, the two remained as sweet as ever, clinging to each other in public, their eyes full of unmistakable affection.

But only Ruan Ningyue knew that it was all a facade to keep the peace.

Her relationship with Feng Xiujun was nothing but a transaction.

Several years ago, the Ruan family was betrayed, and Feng Xiujun stepped in to save them. At the thank-you banquet, Ruan's father was full of trepidation.

The young man sat at the head of the table, his fair, elegant hand pointing at the bewildered girl sheltered behind Ruan's father.

"I want her."

From the day she married Feng Xiujun, Ruan Ningyue had been planning her escape. She acted sweet and compliant to lull him into lowering his guard. At last, when everything was in place, she left a divorce agreement and disappeared without a word.

A month later, the dance troupe's manager took her to meet their new investor.

The emerald-green screen was drawn aside. Feng Xiujun stood there, refined and courteous, chatting amiably with the manager.

"Why are you running? If I get upset, aren't you the one who'll suffer?" The man smiled. "Little Spring Moon, it would break my heart."

Ruan Ningyue believes Feng Xiujun doesn't love her. All he has for her is a twisted desire to control her.

But later, he is willing to give up everything and bear the blame, just to let her run away with another man.
