The First Female Star Inspector

Lan Ying is reborn in a parallel world, going from a 996 forensic trace examiner to an obscure, overlooked, pretty-face actress in the entertainment industry.

Lan Ying takes it all in stride. But the parallel world is full of weird surprises:

She is invited to the mystery variety show Apartment No. 13, where fake blood and mannequins turn into a real murder, and the culprit is hiding right there on set???

She stops by the noodle shop run by the super-handsome young owner downstairs and runs into a random poisoning???

The male lead of her new drama is a spoiled young master from the production's investor family. He arrives on set with a hundred bodyguards, then vanishes into thin air, apparently kidnapped???

More concerning still, her two former colleagues, both renowned detectives, have lost their partner Lan Ying. Now their daily dark circles hang down to their chins...

Lan Ying: What can I do? Guess I'll put on my actress secret identity and step in.

At first, the director of Apartment No. 13 casts Lan Ying as "stupid, but undeniably beautiful." Later...

The director bursts into tears in the livestream chat after Lan Ying carries the entire team to victory:

"The brilliance of Goddess Lan is the most beautiful thing of all!!!"

*Three recurring male guests. The final male lead has not yet been decided.
