What Should I Do When My Online Dating Partner Keeps Urging Me to Study?

Song Song has an online crush he just can't seem to seduce.

They met on a popular gay dating site, but the other guy is as conservative as a straight man.

The site's homepage is always showing popular posts like "We Met Three Days Ago, and I Slept with 183 Muscular Black Guys."

But they've known each other for three months, and all they talk about in their chat is "Three Different Ways to Solve the Hardest Problem on a Math Exam."

Song Song is losing his mind.

Other people exchange sweet gifts on Valentine's Day,

but the only thing his crush gives him is a collector's edition of 5-3, a test-prep book.

Other people recite love poems and swoon over each other,

but when Song Song recites a poem, the other guy just asks him to analyze the poet's writing techniques.

Song Song is speechless. "How is this any different from tutoring!?"

As it turns out, it isn't. And they really do end up in a tutor-student relationship.

Song Song refuses to give up and keeps trying to flirt.

Until he discovers that the WeChat account his best friend's older brother uses on the side is exactly the same as his online crush's!

Thinking back on how his best friend's older brother is always so gentle and considerate, while pretending not to know him...

Song Song: Bring it on, you lying bastard! Let's see who can fool whom!

Several months later

Song Song smiles and turns down his best friend's older brother when he confesses.

His best friend is puzzled. "My brother's so great. You don't like him?"

Song Song: "Can't help it. I'm devoted to my studies."

His online crush demands, "We've been talking for so long. What exactly are we to each other?"

Song Song: "What else? Tutor and student."

One day, the other guy finally can't take it anymore. He reveals his identity and scrolls through their chat history, asking him

"Would you send your tutor all kinds of selfies?"

"Would you arrange to go to an amusement park and a haunted house with your tutor?"

"Would you ask your tutor if he likes you?"

The man who used to be so composed and impossible to seduce now cradles his heart and asks, his voice trembling, "Could you still like me?"
