Xu Guanning's name came from her mother's gymnastics idol. Her father had always had a bone to pick with that, until the ping-pong world's Demon King was born and he finally decided it was a good name!

Her mother wasn't having it. She would twist his ear and pinch his waist, and the two of them argued so often about whether the "Ning" came from "Li" or "Zhang" that it became part of everyday life.

Aside from getting caught up in the "name controversy" from a young age, Xu Guanning had always had a smooth life. Her mother was a TV station anchor, and her father owned a hotel. They were a family from a small county town, but they lived comfortably.

Still, as an only child born in the nineties, she couldn't help feeling a little lonely. So she turned her attention to the station's residential compound. Everyone there could be her sworn brothers and sisters!

But one mountain can't hold two tigers, and one courtyard can't hold two tyrants!

Whenever she led her little army to take over the compound, a certain Qin Shaoye would always show up to challenge her authority!

The TV station's residential compound gradually split into two camps. They each kept to their own side and lived it up (in utter chaos).

Qin Shaoye woke up late, grabbed his schoolbag, and ran for school. On the way, he noticed it felt heavier than usual. Panting, he hauled it into the classroom and dropped it on his desk.

"Thud!" The loud bang drew everyone's attention.

The student in front turned around and asked, "Huohua, did you bring a bomb to school today?!"

"I don't know what's going on. My schoolbag is especially heavy today." Under everyone's watchful eyes, Qin Shaoye opened his bag and stiffly pulled out a brick. He shouted, "Xu Guanning! You secretly put a brick in my schoolbag!"

"Hahaha, Huohua brought a brick to school!"

Xu Guanning sat calmly on the other side of the classroom. She met Qin Shaoye's fiery glare from across the room and stretched her smile as wide as it would go.
