A Rainy Day at the Corner Store

Her parents died young, and her job was going nowhere. Liang Wenxi felt that fate had never once smiled on her.

On an ordinary workday, Liang Wenxi stared at the lottery numbers in disbelief. She had actually won five million!

With that much money, she was already perfectly satisfied. Why would she need a mansion or a luxury car?

Liang Wenxi quickly quit her job, avoided the relatives who came running as soon as they heard the news, and randomly picked a small town where she opened a corner shop.

The kind elderly people in town all said her shop would lose money at the end of the street. But after it opened, all kinds of strange and wonderful customers began to show up.

She went from being one person who could eat her fill without worrying about anyone else to a family of five.

Whenever it rained, Liang Wenxi would stick to her routine of eating potato chips, humming as she watched the rain outside the door, and teasing the cat and flirting with the dog.

The repairman protested, "There are six of us! I'll say it again: the repairman thing was a misunderstanding!"

A little scene:

Fang Minliang had just stepped into the shop with his left foot when he heard some truly indecent talk. In the spirit of human kindness, he hesitated for half a second, then decided to peek in and see if the victim needed rescuing.

He saw that the usually antisocial shopkeeper had her back to him. Her voice was cool, but she was saying something lewd: "Heh heh heh! There's nowhere left to run. I'll corner you against the wall right now, heh heh heh, and do whatever I want with you~"

Fang Minliang quietly backed out of the shop, silently apologizing to Songsong in the corner.

By the way, Songsong is a purebred Chinese village dog.
