An NPC Awakens and Gives Up Trying

Shen Ling is an NPC in a romance scenario. Players have two ways to clear it: get her affection to 100%, or kill her. The setting for this NPC is that she can never have 100% affection for a player. In fact, based on her past experience, she's never given a player even 1% affection. So the players, enraged by their failure, all decide to kill her to clear the scenario. One day, Shen Ling awakens and remembers all the times she's been killed. She decides to give up. When she meets Hua Xuan, the first player she encounters after awakening, Hua Xuan introduces herself and asks Shen Ling's name. Then: [Ding! Shen Ling's affection for you has increased by 30 points. Reason: You're beautiful. She fell in love with you at first sight.] Hua Xuan is baffled and keeps asking Shen Ling for information, still unaware that she's wandered into a strange romance scenario. What puts her under a lot of pressure is that before she and Shen Ling have spent much time together, Shen Ling's affection for her reaches 100%. Shen Ling's adoring gaze leaves Hua Xuan at a loss. She'd been wondering how to leave this strange place, but seeing Shen Ling's eyes makes her unable to bear it. Since she doesn't know how to get out anyway, maybe staying isn't so bad? Shen Ling keeps asking herself every day, Why won't this woman leave? Why hasn't she left yet? [Promotional text screenshot] Theme: When one door closes, another opens. Don't give up.
