Thanks for Asking, the Original Heroine Is Busy Solving Cases

The night before starting her new job, Mu Zhixiu had a dream.

In the dream, she was the original heroine, adored by everyone, in a novel about someone who transmigrates into a book. But the transmigrator sabotaged her parents' careers, stole all the male leads, and kept pushing her down, taking the path she was supposed to take and becoming a hugely popular star.

Though she should have had everything, the original heroine suffered hardships all her life because of the transmigrator. Only recently had she finally made it through the worst of it.

After waking, Mu Zhixiu thought of how the original male leads had tortured her to death. Looking at her police ID, she fell into deep thought.

Her next case had just landed in her lap.

Please note:

1. This is a fictional modern setting. Please don't compare it to reality.

2. The story mainly focuses on solving cases, and the cases make up a large portion of it.

3. The original novel's male characters are either dead or in prison.

4. The male lead is not a character from the original novel, and there is only one male lead.

Theme: Justice is never tainted by darkness.
