Also known as: Why does my super-intuition fail whenever romance is involved? Or: Every day is a battlefield of love, and I have no idea
Ophelia starts out in Gotham, with unknown parents and abandoned. Thanks to a kind foster father who takes her in, she's raised until she's four, when her dad dies again, right in front of her, leaping backward off a cross for her sake.
This awakens a superpower that always comes one step too late, but she becomes a selectively mute little girl with autism who doesn't want to speak.
Poor Mr. Wayne is once again forced to witness the deaths of strangers who turn out to be her parents, and ends up taking another child home. Well, rumors that he's got a thing for black-haired, blue-eyed kids have never gone away. Heh.
In short, it's the story of Lia, raised by a priest and not quite right in the head, stumbling her way into becoming a competent vigilante.
Warnings:
1. It might get a little melodramatic?
2. Updates are irregular. I'll write whenever I can, so please understand the pain of me, a miserable high school student.
3. I've never dated or written a sweet romance. Cold face.jpg. It's definitely not very realistic.
4. There will be some out-of-character moments.
5. Only chapters one and two are in first person.
6. Please don't curse at me.
