Don't Call Your Rival Husband

[Straight-A Man Bottom vs. Deeply Devoted, Scheming Top]

Ye Si and Song Kechi: one is a top-tier idol, the other a top-tier movie star.

They shot to fame at a young age and have always been rivals, openly at odds from childhood onward.

Their fanbases are just as hostile toward each other. For over a decade, they have looked down on one another, even declaring that the two stars would work together only if the sun rose in the west.

And then the two of them worked together.

In a dual-male-lead drama, no less, with a romance plotline.

The fans: What kind of thawing the ice is this? They nearly twisted their necks at the opening ceremony!

#Those two could make up only if pigs climbed trees#

After the show aired, Song Kechi seized the chance to promote it during a livestream interview and called the person pinned at the top of his WeChat contacts.

Through the receiver, a still-sleepy Ye Si drawled sweetly, calling out, "Hubby~"

Song Kechi froze for half a second, then calmly replied, "Baby."

Ye Si: ...

Damn.

He really went all in.

Ye Si never expected that his playful remark would earn them a huge wave of CP fans, or that people would even start saying Song Kechi had secretly loved him for over ten years.

As the rumors grew more and more convincing, the two were assigned to a variety show to sell their brotherly bond, promote their new drama, and decisively debunk the rumors that they were involved.

But the harder they tried, the stranger it got. Even the solo fans of both stars went from "My idol is the straightest man in the universe" to "Are you two treating the whole world like it's gay or what?!"

Ye Si secretly used an alt account to browse fan-made CP content. The more he looked, the more ridiculous it seemed. Song Kechi had secretly loved him for over ten years?

What a joke!

He decided to talk things over with Song Kechi and find a way to clear up the rumors. The other man agreed without hesitation.

So, during the livestream interview, Ye Si put an arm around Song Kechi's shoulder and said very deliberately, "We're just good buddies, right?"

He waited, but got no answer. Turning his head, Ye Si saw the man silently lowering his eyes.

As if sensing Ye Si's gaze, Song Kechi finally looked up at him, his voice tinged with dejection. "You're right about everything."

Qiu Ye Si: What? No, that's not what I meant!

A note before you start:

1. Turning a straight man gay, though maybe he wasn't quite so straight

2. The top has a secret crush on the bottom and is extremely possessive

3. The story focuses on the two leads

4. No real-life inspirations

Theme: Jokes should be kept in moderation. Remember, careless words can lead to trouble.
