The House Elf

Luo Xi (□□) inherits an old mansion from her aunt. Faced with its exorbitant upkeep, she plans to tidy it up a little and put it on the market.

But while cleaning the rooms, she keeps finding one little monster after another tucked away in every nook and cranny.

The creatures are less than a meter tall, with big eyes, big noses, and mouths full of sharp teeth. They can talk, too.

According to them, they were all house-elves kept by her aunt. After her aunt died, they became masterless house-elves with nowhere to go. Having inherited her aunt's estate, Luo Xi has no choice but to keep looking after them.

But with the house-elves' arrival, one strange incident after another begins to unfold.

A parchment book documenting all kinds of magical creatures, a black hellhound that attacks her in the dead of night, a flickering streetlamp on the corner that turns out to be home to a little fire imp, and the suspicion that her aunt's death was not so simple after all.

Amid all the layers of mystery and danger, Luo Xi seems to have stumbled into another world, one both magical and perilous.

At first, she thinks it is all coincidence. Gradually, she realizes that this is an enormous game, and she has been its most crucial piece from the very beginning.

Will she break free and be reborn, or be swallowed up by it all?

Luo Xi says she'll start by training the house-elves. They might be her greatest asset.

Go, house-elves!
