The Demon King and the Little Crybaby

Before the match, the coach gave them repeated reminders.

“This team was only formed recently, and they’re pretty average. Just play casually. They’ve got a rookie called Mi Zhou, the only female player on the team. She used to be a trainee with us, so remember to go easy on her. Don’t completely crush them.”

“Mi Zhou?” Mu Fang, captain of the Blue Flame team, gave a lazy, mocking chuckle. “Someone’s actually called that? That’s hilarious.”

The coach muttered under his breath, “You’re called Fang Mu yourself!”

Before the match, the players from both teams shook hands.

Mu Fang pulled Mi Zhou halfway into her arms and, in the gentlest voice, said the harshest words: “Little Rice Porridge, I’m going to give you special attention later.”

Mi Zhou didn’t take her seriously at all. You’re a support player, and I’m a jungle carry. Who takes care of whom is still up in the air.

Once the match began, the opposing support brazenly brought a side-laner along to invade Mi Zhou’s jungle, completely disrupting her tempo and sending the game into a total collapse.

After the match, a reporter interviewed them.

Reporter: Why did you invade the jungle in all three games?

Mu Fang: The opposing jungle carry is too cute. I couldn’t help trying to flirt with her.

Meanwhile, Mi Zhou tearfully complained to the reporter.

Reporter: Was it Mu Fang who beat you?

Mi Zhou: Yes, she was the one who did it!

A year later, the two teams met again.

Before the match, during an interview.

Reporter: I heard the great demon king crushed your team a year ago and kept you from qualifying. Now that you’re facing her again, are you feeling any pressure?

Mi Zhou: She promised she wouldn’t beat me this time.

The reporter was thrilled. “Does that mean the two of you have a relationship off the field, too?”

The great demon king Mu Fang walked over, put an arm around Mi Zhou’s shoulders, and took the microphone. “Don’t ask. The answer is, we’re a couple!”
