People say the harder you work, the luckier you get, but that doesn't apply to Lin Shuo. He spent seven or eight years trying to make it in showbiz without ever becoming particularly famous. Then he landed a BL drama, and when it aired, it became a massive hit and gained him over a million followers.

Lin Shuo got a taste of fame and grabbed hold of Fu Xizhou, the top from the drama, to capitalize on their popularity. They went on a travel variety show and pretended to be a couple, until the act became real.

When he couldn't walk, Fu Xizhou held his hand. When they stayed up late chatting the next night, Fu Xizhou held him as they slept.

Kissing like a pair of pure-hearted lovers was practically an everyday thing. Before long, they couldn't stop themselves, and while playing up their pairing, they secretly started dating.

During one livestream, Fu Xizhou pinned Lin Shuo down on the sofa and kissed him with his tongue, leaving their fans staring in shock.

Fans: "You two aren't actually for real, are you?"

"You went a little far with that one. Want us to help keep the closet door shut?"

The couple were blissfully in love, while their fans were secretly thrilled.

They even started a husband-and-husband business. Fu Xizhou funneled all his resources Lin Shuo's way, until Lin Shuo was winning awards left and right.

Only later did Lin Shuo learn that Fu Xizhou had been the backer behind that danmei drama. Acting wasn't even his real job. He had trained hard to become an actor and entered the industry for Lin Shuo, from the very beginning.

The fandom:

Before: "Sigh, it's hard for gay men to get by in showbiz. They'll probably stop promoting themselves once the drama finishes airing."

After: "Mom and Dad, stay together forever! Ah! Lin Shuo and Fu Xizhou, may your CP last forever!"

Then the two of them announced their marriage and showed off their marriage certificate. Everyone finally understood one thing:

Promotional pairings may have an expiration date, but love doesn't! True love is invincible. Whoever comes along has to make way!
