Late at night, the man is fast asleep.
With two fingers, Ning Shiying picks up the shirt bearing another woman's lipstick mark, takes a photo of it with a look of disgust, tosses it into the washing machine, and messages Bian Fan: "Does he think I'm blind?"
Bian Fan is still awake. He replies lazily, "This one won't do. Want me to find you another?"
Ning Shiying: "Forget it. I like his face. He makes me look good when I take him out."
A week later.
Ning Shiying's new boyfriend yells, "You'll regret this!" as he's thrown out, luggage and all.
Bian Fan happens to open the door with a plate of sliced watermelon in his hands. He glances at the man and kindly offers him a piece. "For the road."
Bian Fan knocks. Ning Shiying snarls from inside, "Get lost!"
Bian Fan: "It's me."
After a few seconds of silence, the door slowly opens.
The lovely little face before him grows misty-eyed at the sight of him, then she throws herself into his arms and cries.
The boyfriend Bian Fan had introduced her to stares in disbelief, dumbfounded.
His plan worked perfectly.
Bian Fan turns back and thoughtfully asks, "Want me to carry your things downstairs?"
