This Is How Straight Men Are

[Blurb]

The frail Xie Yibai has had a good friend since childhood: Wen Siyan.

They grew up together, went to school together, and even got into the same university. They specifically applied to live in the same dorm, too.

For Xie Yibai's sake, Wen Siyan always carried soft candy in his pocket, hot water in his bag, and snacks, syrup, and cold medicine on hand. He was thoughtful in every way.

In winter, Xie Yibai would climb into Wen Siyan's bed every night to warm his feet.

In summer, Wen Siyan's umbrella was always over Xie Yibai's head.

While all their friends looked on suspiciously, Xie Yibai casually bit down on the soft candy Wen Siyan held to his lips and said indistinctly, "Straight guys are all like this. We're good buddies. It's totally normal."

Everyone else: Is this really normal?

-

Xie Yibai had recently started thinking about dating. If he got a girlfriend, wouldn't that prove he was straight?

But the girls he added on his phone deleted him, and the greeting card he received mysteriously disappeared, only to turn up in the trash can downstairs.

Before Xie Yibai could figure out what was going on, Wen Siyan suddenly went crazy, kissed him, and told him he had always been gay and that he liked him.

Xie Yibai couldn't believe it. "Aren't we good buddies?"

Xie Yibai tried to save face. "Actually, it's normal for good buddies to kiss, right?"

Xie Yibai's voice trembled. "You're straight, r-right?"

- Xie Yibai is the bottom, Wen Siyan is the top.

- Overprotective, dad-like top; frail, slow-to-catch-on bottom; childhood friends to lovers.
