Xie Shiyan wakes up to find that he's transmigrated into a book.
Most people transmigrate into a protagonist, a villain, or, at worst, a minor character. He transmigrates into a cat.
And when he opens his eyes, he sees the young Li Jing, before he grows up to become the villain.
In the original story, Li Jing suffers through war in the human world, is taken in by a cultivation sect in the mountains, and falls in love with the heroine. But after a misunderstanding, she stabs him, and he falls off a cliff and turns evil. After returning to the sect, he kidnaps the heroine, setting off a full-blown imprisonment arc, before the male lead kills him.
The young Li Jing reaches out to him. Remembering all the terrible things the villain does to the heroine after he turns evil, Xie Shiyan trembles and closes his eyes. Instead, the villain picks him up and affectionately kisses his head.
Xie Shiyan is stunned. "Why didn't anyone tell me the villain was a cat person?"
To hold on to his meal ticket, Xie Shiyan tries to stop the villain from turning evil.
To solve the problem, start at the source. As long as Li Jing doesn't go to that stupid cultivation sect...
His ears? Go ahead and pet them.
His head? Go ahead and kiss it.
His tummy? Go ahead and rub it.
But after all that effort, the ending doesn't change just because of a little cat. Everything still follows the book's trajectory. The only difference is that the villain starts acting more and more strangely.
Instead of orbiting the heroine as he does in the original, he starts orbiting Xie Shiyan.
"Kitty, want to go soak in the hot springs in the back mountain?"
"It's a nice day today. Let's go sunbathe!"
"I picked some tasty fruit in the back mountain. Try some."
"Hey, how come you're getting fatter?"
Of course he's getting fat. What kind of cat eats immortal fruit every day?
The peaceful days don't last long. A crucial turning point from the book arrives, and Xie Shiyan clings to Li Jing's leg and goes down the mountain with him. At the critical moment, he steps forward and takes the sword meant for the villain.
If I can't change the ending, at least I can make it hurt you less.
That's what Xie Shiyan thinks before closing his eyes.
Then he realizes he isn't dead. Not only is he alive, he's also transformed into human form!
When he opens his eyes, he sees Li Jing, already turned evil. His face is full of murderous fury, but he holds Xie Shiyan safely in his arms. "Whoever hurt you will pay twice over."
Xie Shiyan: "Meow meow meow?"
All that immortal fruit went to good use, and so did all that sucking up to the villain.
-Xie Shiyan is the uke, Li Jing is the seme.
-The uke transforms into human form quite late. Before the seme comes of age, their relationship is strictly master and servant.
-A slow-paced, everyday cat-raising story. Read with caution.
-This book originally had a different premise, but I changed it. It had six favorites before the change, so here's a shout-out to those six readers.
★ Coming soon: Five Years to Survive Tribulation, Three Years to Ascend
Blurb:
Ye Guang dies suddenly on the eve of the gaokao and ends up in the cultivation world.
Bad news: He could have gotten into Tsinghua!
Even worse news: The cultivation world is just as competitive as the final year of high school.
Fail the sect entrance exam? Go home and farm.
Fail to reach Foundation Establishment in three years? Go home and farm.
Fail to form a Golden Core in another three years? Go home and farm.
In short, if you don't cultivate, you farm.
Ye Guang plans to slack off, but the world is crawling with monsters and demons. Mortals who don't cultivate have no way to defend themselves, and even farming is unsafe.
He thinks it over for three days.
Then he fishes a wooden board out from under his bed and writes:
100 days until the immortal entrance exam!
One more point, a thousand fewer competitors!
Ye Erniu, a boy from the same village, passes by and sees the "Commonly Confused Acupoints for Qi Cultivation" poster on his wall. He comes over and asks:
"Brother Ye, what's that?"
Without looking up, Ye Guang replies, "My error log."
Ye Erniu's eyes light up. "Can I borrow it and copy it?"
Ye Guang looks up at him.
Three days later, Ye Guang gathers all the village's teenagers of exam age and starts an immortal-exam prep class.
Thesis: Always meet life with kindness.
It ended a bit quickly... It felt like the story was over before it even started.
I really like it, as if I have spent decades with them, from Shangjing to Yinyun Mountain to the bottom of the cliff, watching the kittens and children turn into adults who can support the sky. It is a pity that there is no extra story. I really want to know the current situation of everyone, except for the old friends in Shangjing, Senior Sister and Xiao Xuan, and those little monsters, but now it is the best ending. The places that are not written in the pen and ink are everyone's best lives.
Can you tell me if you give up? TT
Why don't you give me some extra stories? I feel like I can write a lot more. I want to know how my master and sister are doing, and how the big demon lives in modern times.
Woohoo, wow, when will it be updated? All the flowers I've been waiting for are about to wither.
I don't want to watch it anymore if I book it all (Vicissitudes of life?)
Now I want to watch the extra story about this big demon.
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The Eight Kings became emperors!
I like the feeling of the last paragraph hahh
