Little Zombie

[A short, fluffy, sweet romance]

The little zombie had only just opened his eyes when he found a young Daoist sitting across from him with his eyes closed.

Little zombie: "In this situation, should I lie back down?"

But just as he was rustling around, getting ready to play dead again, the Daoist across from him suddenly spoke. "You..."

The little zombie turned around in terror.

Then he saw the Daoist's dark eyes gazing calmly at him. The Daoist took a stack of talismans from inside his robe and continued, "Do you have anything to eat?"

Little zombie: "Huh?"

"I can trade you talismans. These are from the Feng family. Each one can grant a wish."

"No need, no need." As he spoke, the little zombie pulled a treasured bone out of the coffin and handed it to him. "Here."

The Daoist stared at the human leg bone, fell silent for a moment, then put the talismans away.

"Never mind. Keep it for yourself."

Later, all of Dengzhou heard that the young master of the Feng family, the foremost of the immortal sects, had gone out to hunt demons and disappeared. Ten days later, he was found in an ancient tomb.

When he was rescued, a ragged little boy was following close behind him. The boy was delicate and pretty, but seemed innocent and foolish, perhaps even an idiot.

The young master of the Feng family, however, was utterly smitten with him and even planned to marry him, defying the whole world.

When the little zombie heard the rumor, he packed his things and tried to leave, but the little Daoist stopped him.

The little zombie pulled out a talisman and slapped it into his hand. "My first wish: let me go. I don't want to stay here. And I'm not an idiot."

The little Daoist calmly tucked the talisman inside his robe, then replied, "Not enough."

At that, the little zombie shoved all the remaining talismans at him. "That's enough wishes, right?"

"Still not enough." The little Daoist leaned down and whispered into his ear, "Be my bride, and I'll take you with me."
