Geng Zhi arrives at the crime scene early and greets Jing Nian politely. "Good morning, Officer Nian."

Jing Nian turns to look at him, completely bewildered. Who is this guy?

Geng Zhi reads the unfamiliarity in Jing Nian's eyes. "Um, I'm Geng Zhi. I just started yesterday. Don't you remember?"

It wasn't that he'd forgotten. He hadn't even known in the first place. Damn Qiao Duo!

Realizing the problem, Jing Nian immediately puts on a friendly smile and pretends to know him. "Oh, right. Good morning, Officer Geng."

Geng Zhi takes a deep breath and grumbles inwardly, Great. He slept with me and forgot me, and now he's forgotten me twice.

Later, Jing Nian confronts Qiao Duo about it. The other man says nonchalantly, "Yeah, I forgot. Now you know."

Jing Nian gives a couple of dry laughs and mutters to himself, "Damn you, Qiao Duo!"

When Jing Nian was sixteen, he accidentally fell into the water. After he woke up, there was another soul inside his body, named Qiao Duo. From then on, they shared one body. They went from fighting to living in peace, gradually getting used to coexisting. But sometimes, things still went wrong.

After spending day and night with Geng Zhi for a while, Jing Nian realizes he's developing feelings for him. But before he can confess, he unexpectedly discovers that Geng Zhi likes his other side.

Geng Zhi notices that Jing Nian is smiling less and less, and asks curiously, "Have you run into something lately? Why don't you smile anymore?"

Qiao Duo says coldly, "I'm not the one who smiles."

Geng Zhi: "Huh?"

Qiao Duo: "Thanks to you, he won't come out anymore. That's on you!"

Geng Zhi: "???"
