[Blurb]:
Qi Rui was kicked out of his family home as soon as he turned eighteen. He made a living through odd jobs, supposedly as part of the evolution of a wealthy heir. Qi Rui thought this was simply the fate of the rich, until he met Lin Yijie at school.
They were both rich young masters, but Lin Yijie was more handsome, better at studying, more popular with women, and lived a more extravagant life. Even his underlings outnumbered Qi Rui's.
Qi Rui was jealous and resentful. Why, when they both came from families with money to burn, did Lin Yijie get all the advantages? It was so unfair. Until, eventually, Lin Yijie claimed Qi Rui himself as his own, with domineering certainty.
One day, Qi Rui was ordered home to attend his older sister Qi Ran's engagement banquet. As soon as he entered the house, his grandfather called him over.
Old Master Qi formally introduced him to the others. "This is my grandson, Qi Rui. Qi Rui, this is Uncle Lin and his family. This young man about your age is your sister's fiance, Lin Yijie. You'll have to call him brother-in-law from now on."
Looking at the familiar face, Qi Rui felt a pang of melancholy. Just last night, this man had been making him call him "husband" in all sorts of ways. Today, he had become the man his sister was promised to.
Qi Rui stared blankly. After a moment of silence, he said, "Hello, brother-in-law."
Lin Yijie replied with a cold expression, "You got it wrong."
#Reading Guide#
1) Previously titled The School Hunk's Exclusive Guide to Spoiling. This story is sweet overall, with the romance developing gradually, though there may be a little angst now and then.
2) P.S. The older sister and the male lead are in an arranged marriage between their families. They have no feelings for each other and don't know about the situation, so there's no deception involved. Later on, the older sister becomes a lovable little helper.
3) Content warning: The male lead has had girlfriends, and lots of them.
4) Read for fun. The author is letting loose, so no unsolicited advice, and if it's not your thing, please don't come in.
*Please add my next book, Blood-Colored Ghost Eyes, to your collection. The blurb is below.
An accident leaves him unconscious. When he wakes again, everything has changed.
A gift from heaven: ghost eyes, one black and one red. The left eye sees the living; the right eye sees the dead.
Ghostly shadows emerge, truth and illusion become confused, life and death coexist. He seeks justice for the dead.
"See that? He's the police officer with the highest case-clearance rate in the whole city!"
"Jiang Siyan? He's so handsome!"
"That's him! His case-clearance rate is a full hundred percent. There's no case he can't solve. Give him any case and he'll get to the bottom of it. For that mermaid case by the seaside, the one the city bureau is taking so seriously, the leadership specifically requested him from the district bureau."
"He's that impressive? I really want to learn from him."
"You'd better not. I hear he's crazy. He often talks to himself and spouts nonsense. Someone asked him why his case-clearance rate was so high. Know what he said?"
"What did he say?"
"He said he can see ghosts!"

Jiang Siyan is nothing like his name suggests. He's neither refined nor eloquent; on the contrary, he's utterly shamelessly flirtatious.
On his first day in the new department, he saw a handsome man with a tall, slender build and couldn't resist his restless heart. He went over to strike up a conversation. "Hey, handsome, are you new here? Which department? Want to hang out with me?"
"With you?" Han Wei looked down at him, their eyes meeting. "You think you're worthy?"
Jiang Siyan wasn't discouraged. "Guess we'll have to try it and see."
Han Wei replied expressionlessly, his voice cold. "Han Wei, captain of the Special Cases Investigation Team."
As soon as he heard the man's introduction, Jiang Siyan's heart gave a lurch. This was awkward. He'd accidentally flirted with his direct superior.
"Still want to try?" Han Wei seemed to be waiting to see him make a fool of himself.
But Jiang Siyan was a devilish charmer who loved a challenge. Smiling shamelessly, he said, "It's not out of the question."
Warning:
A nightlife-loving, little "player" bottom (Jiang Siyan) vs. a marriage-averse, big "scumbag" top (Han Wei).
A "player" bottom and a "scumbag" top are made for each other. Can the straight man be turned? Who falls under whose spell? Who's the one with the deeper schemes?
Crime-solving + melodrama + horror + laugh-out-loud comedy + bittersweet romance.
Please add it to your collection. Thanks a bunch.
Theme: Keep your word, and follow through on what you do.
The salary for this part-time job of distributing flyers is a bit high.
