The Substitute Quit

There were once two contracts laid out in front of me. The sums were enormous and the terms reasonable, so I signed on the spot. Even hesitating for a second would have been disrespectful to the two bosses.

*Monday, Wednesday, Friday: I work part-time as a housekeeper at Huo Qiheng’s country house. My duties include, but are not limited to, preparing a lavish dinner and keeping him company for a set time afterward.

Through Huo Qiheng’s wild ramblings, I accept a monthly salary of 300,000 with tears in my eyes.

*Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: I work part-time as a model in Song Zhiqi’s spacious city apartment. He studies me closely with those cold, unfeeling eyes, but on the page he draws someone else. That doesn’t stop Song Zhiqi from being generous.

For the sake of the pay, I tell him he can look at me however he wants. I’d even let him look at me upside down.

And weekends? Weekends are for resting! Living the good life~

*Two years later, when my contracts expire, I look at my nicely filled savings and ask to resign.

But...

Now I’m in a pitch-black room, pondering whether the person sitting across from me is Huo Qiheng or Song Zhiqi.
