Stolen Kiss

[Mutual Crushes] [High-Ranking Cadre Compound]

The first time Ji You saw Jiang Chixu, she fell for him at a glance. All day long, she thought about how she could steal a kiss from him.

On the night their friends threw Jiang Chixu a birthday party, Ji You snuck over too. Fueled by the aftereffects of two glasses of strong liquor, she staggered to a booth five meters away. Before anyone could react, she grabbed Jiang Chixu by the chin and knocked his lips until they bled.

Jiang Chixu had never let any woman get close to him in all these years. Now, his face and the tips of his ears red, he looked up at her.

The bar Jiang Chixu had booked was suddenly silent as a grave. The next second, as everyone held their breath, Jiang Chixu said:

“If you’ve got the nerve, kiss me again!”

After sleeping off her hangover, Ji You’s friend brought it up. Ji You laughed as if she’d just heard a joke. “I kissed him? Why not say I slept with him, while you’re at it?”

But when her friend showed her the proof on her phone, Ji You could no longer laugh.

An hour later, embarrassed and timid, Ji You stood in front of Jiang Chixu without daring to raise her eyes.

Jiang Chixu was smiling to himself, waiting for her to confess her feelings, when she spoke in a voice as soft as a mosquito’s buzz: “I-I-I’m really sorry. I-I-I mistook you for someone else last night...”

Jiang Chixu: “...”
