The Retired Top-Tier Star Is Famous Again

Qiao Yanli made his debut through a talent show and became a top-tier star overnight. He topped every major chart, broke album sales records time and again, and swept up every kind of music award. At an awards ceremony, he said emotionally, “I’ve achieved one of my little goals in life. From now on, I’ll keep pursuing my dreams with all my heart.” Everyone eagerly assumed he meant he would devote himself to honing his craft and making even better work, winning one trophy after another. Instead, at the height of his career, he abruptly retired and went home to live as an ordinary person... Two years later, a smear campaign from a minor idol dragged him back onto the trending lists. Looking at the little goal he’d just achieved, then at the film adaptation offer on his desk, Qiao Yanli said, “It’s time to start pursuing a new dream!” Two years after disappearing, the current top-tier star returned to the entertainment industry. Asked on a variety show why he had come back, Qiao Yanli replied, “I’m here to pursue my dream.” His haters were the first to show up after the interview aired. Hater: Haha, now there’s a joke: Qiao Yanli’s dream. Hater: Why doesn’t he just admit he ran out of money and came back to make a buck? Then everyone quickly discovered... The internet novelist who had shot to stardom over the past two years was him. The food channel creator with a million followers who never showed his face while livestreaming his cooking was him. The mysterious painter whose work sold for over a hundred million at auction was him. The person who returned to the entertainment industry, won a major music award, became a huge hit in his transition to TV dramas, and then picked up the Best Actor trophy... was still him!
