I Became an Abbot in Ancient Times [System]

Lin Zhao transmigrates into the son of a loyal official who was framed, and the emperor sends him to a dilapidated temple.

He binds himself to a temple-management app and becomes an abbot.

[Mission 1: Restore the Hall of Heavenly Kings and revive the incense offerings]

Clean the shabby prayer cushion he found, then bring a worshipper back from the foot of the mountain.

Ding-dong! Mission complete.

Reward: 1 fresh, dewy Chinese cabbage.

The worshipper he brought back: The old man at home had been sick for ages. I went to that temple, and the abbot gave me a fresh, dewy Chinese cabbage. I took it home and fed it to my old man, and he actually got better!

The other listeners: What?! That rundown temple is really that miraculous? I'm going right now!

Lin Zhao: Don't push! Don't push! The Hall of Heavenly Kings is going to get crushed!

Corrupt officials and treacherous ministers have joined forces with the powerful clans. The emperor, whose power is not yet secure, sends a secret letter:

My dear subject, you're doing quite well for yourself, while I'm getting a headache!

I've recently acquired another illegitimate child, and it's quite a problem.

I've already sent someone to you. I hope you can help ease my burden!

Lin Zhao: ...Shaving the prince's head and giving him a name isn't hard.

[Reader's Guide]

1. There are magical tables, magical seeds, and magical fertilizer.

2. There are lots of short, self-contained stories.

3. Later on, there'll be plotlines about developing the local economy.

4. The protagonist appears to be an honest monk, but behind the scenes he recruits talent for the emperor and funnels him money.

5. The work was inspired by a certain game. (I can't give the specific name because that would count as promotion.)
