Gin Doesn't Want to Go Back to the Wine Syndicate

[Complete. Don't hold back, go ahead and devour it!] Seventeen-year-old Gin had a nightmare. At thirty-two, he was worked to the point of collapse. The organization had become a nest for rats. The organization's few bottles of liquor had turned on each other. Fighting practically alone, he watched the organization fall with his own eyes, then died spectacularly in a sea of flames. Gin, jolting awake: (Dazed, questioning his whole life) He took a moment to collect himself, then turned and kicked his sleeping partner, who was out cold, right off the bed. If he remembered correctly, that guy had been one of the cops in the dream, and had even pulled some ridiculous self-sacrifice stunt. Gin knew it was unlikely, but that didn't stop him from suddenly finding the guy irritating. Then he remembered how the guy went around talking about defecting from the organization all day. Gin: (Even more annoyed) The curly-haired gentleman, bleary-eyed as he met his partner's handsome, displeased face: ? Gin soon forgot about the dream, until one day on a mission he came across the young version of the little detective from his dream. Gin: ... Maybe, just maybe, the things in that dream could come true. That night... After someone once again lazily draped himself around the silver-haired killer and idly started talking about defecting from the organization, Gin: Fine. The curly-haired mutt, who was only ever talking big out of habit: ? Gin meant what he said. That very night, he asked the Boss for an extended leave, giving himself plenty of time to get away. Whoever wanted to stay in this organization could stay. He had no intention of giving his life for it. Besides... He pushed the curly-haired man clinging to him away, the corner of his mouth lifting almost imperceptibly. This guy was so stupid. What if he really did get himself killed? Gin had no interest in spending another decade or so looking for a partner who suited him. Content warnings: [Matsuda x Hagiwara, HE, OOC warning] 1. The author is a bit of a protagonist fan, loves making them universally adored, and likes [descriptive scenes] (marked in red). 2. Matsuda x Hagiwara is a very rare pairing. 3. The story diverges from the original timeline, and the characters' affiliations are reversed. 4. Some personalities differ from the original, so expect OOC. 5. Matsuda and Hagiwara fall in love. There is a romance plot. 6. I ate the height difference. All the characters' intelligence is being used to make Matsuda taller. 7. Logic is dead. The author's intelligence is in the gutter, so don't expect a thrilling story of schemes and intrigue. [Honestly, this pairing is pretty out there for most people, so please don't click if you can't handle it.
