He'll Come Back to You

During the winter break of her senior year of high school, a guy attending a prestigious university moves in next door to Wen Yao.

She develops a bit of a crush on him and, during a break from tutoring, tactfully asks which university he attends.

The man twirls a pen between his long, beautiful fingers. His captivating face wears a lazy smile. "What, Yao Yao wants to go to the same university as me?"

Wen Yao gathers her courage. "Why not?"

He raises an eyebrow but says nothing.

*

He gives her the wrong answer. On the day Wen Yao registers at university, she realizes she's been tricked and blocks him in tears.

*

One day, Wen Yao sees Song Jinzhou, who deliberately got into her university to be her junior, and laughs in disbelief.

-

A friend asks Song Jinzhou, "Didn't you say you'd just coast through life and stop making trouble? What got you moving again?"

Song Jinzhou curls his lip. "I couldn't let such a wonderful girl end up with a loser."

*

Believe me, no matter how far away I am, I'll find my way back to you.
