Zhou Song was a hot-tempered Northerner. After making his fortune, he found himself a handsome lover. Zhou Song thought that, for a face like his, he could put up with a little temper.
But his lover's possessiveness was on another level. If Zhou Song so much as spoke a few extra words to a woman while he was out, he would come home to a place that looked as if a tornado had torn through it: the tempered-glass aquarium for his arowanas smashed to pieces, the expensive coffee table and sofa wrecked, and the gilded ceiling twisted out of shape.
...Who could afford to keep someone like that?
Zhou Song dumped the lover he'd been dating for barely a month on the spot.
After that, he was subjected to indescribable harassment.
Zhou Song had lived alone for years, yet on quiet nights he would often feel someone's fingers entwined with his on the edge of the bed. Sometimes, riding public transit during the day, he would repeatedly sense someone brushing against his back and buttocks in the stuffy carriage. He even began to black out without warning at home or at work, only to slowly come to with a splitting headache...
Zhou Song was sure something had its eye on him.
After several days of chaos, Zhou Song, red-eyed and unshaven, received a call from an unknown number.
The antique phone seemed to have been dug up from who knew where. A crackling transmission still hissed in his ear. "Krrzt... I miss you so much. Have you missed me lately..."
"I really haven't been very obedient... Krrzt..."
"I'm coming to find you."
"Go to hell, Gu Congnan." Zhou Song saw through him at once, his teeth grinding. "You want to find me? Then get your ass over here."
The crackling transmission fell silent, as if startled.
A moment later, his lover appeared outside the door. Zhou Song raised a hand and slapped him, calling him a pervert.
Gu Congnan, instead of taking offense, looked thrilled. His legs went weak and he dropped to his knees at Zhou Song's feet, so happy he couldn't hold a human shape and began oozing all over the place.

Zhou Song's lover wasn't exactly human.
After being tormented by him, Zhou Song had mellowed out quite a bit.
"I want to kick him, but I'm afraid he'll enjoy it. Even when I hit him, I'm scared he'll follow my finger up and lick it."
"Honestly, if he ran away, I wouldn't even feel like looking for him."
Dark, twisted, nonhuman beauty gong x bad-tempered, sadistic older shou
Reader's guide:
1. There's only a hair's breadth between dark, angsty forced love and a sweet, pure romance.
2. A touch of Lovecraftian horror. The gong is my own take, with a mountain of headcanon.
3. Being an M is just how this dark, twisted nonhuman pursues love. Don't worry about it. He's gorgeous.
Theme: Prosperity, democracy, civility, and harmony.
