Other people transmigrate with a System and fear nothing.
Shang Xin was different. She was all alone.
Trying to get home, she picked up a man, ran into monsters, got stabbed and hunted down, and was even swindled out of her money!
Damn it!
All she had planned was to find a way home, finish her commissions, and leave this world.
But Shang Xin never imagined that one wrong decision would cost her most of her life to repay: she would have to become the gods' savior.
Shang Xin didn't particularly want to be a savior. At first, she only wanted to go home.
Until, one day, her name had spread across the entire Tavir Plain.
Shang Xin: ...
Shang Xin picked herself back up. So what if she had to save the world? It was nothing special, just another overused transmigration-novel trope.
If even elementary school kids could do it these days, surely she could manage being a savior?
Demons of the Cold Rain Season: At harvest time, they descend with the rain and come to villages and towns. Adults are their enemies, and children their food. If you encounter one, don't hesitate. Kill it. It is a soul that even the High Heavens refuse to guide onward.
The Lying Black Fish: By chance, it travels with the protagonist. But once the warmth fades, all that remains are cold scales. They don't trust each other, unless the day comes when an accident changes everything.
The Traitor on the Wasteland: A stranger encountered by chance, with the secrets of the wasteland hidden behind him. Unfortunately, the journey comes to an abrupt end almost as soon as it begins. What happens afterward is not part of this story.
The Guardian of the Snowfield: The snowy season has arrived, and the tales of old are over, but new stories are still unfolding. Whom are you protecting, and for whom are you staying?
The vast Tavir Plain stretches as far as the eye can see, with no end in sight.
A god dwells in a distant tower. In the wheat fields, a girl holds down her hat as the wind blows it up.
Behind her, in the soundless wind, a lonely soul walks upon its shadow.
Theme: Hold fast to your convictions, keep the greater good in your heart, and realize your own worth in life
This layout is a bit unaccustomed, and it is always easy to miss the content. I still don't understand this world view. Who is the gem eye on the chest?
Why aren't there any book reviews? The writing is quite good, but it is not colloquial to the novel. It is a bit like prose and a bit like poetry. There is a little too much description except for the main character. It is like watching a movie but always cutting the scene. It is a bit tiring to read like this.
