(This story has been extensively revised.)
In a forest of steel, neon lights flicker. Beneath the dazzling colors, the silent black night looks on.
The ignorant step onto the stage and proclaim their greatness.
The players raise their glasses behind the scenes.
The powerful hold a tangled web of strings in their hands.
Only, only fallen bodies lie in the shadows,
with a sliver of freedom to their name.
If time could start over,
Su Yu: I'd choose to say goodbye.
You transmigrate into a god in a world without gods.
Races that once existed only in fantasy appear one by one.
The dark hand of fate pushes you ever onward...
Su Yu woke up.
He was in a room in an ancient castle, wearing white silk pajamas trimmed with gold. His pale golden hair spilled across the bed.
He looked completely bewildered.
Arnold knew that he existed for the sake of a god.
His family had raised him to become exactly what they wanted him to be.
At their command, he had come alone to this castle, which had long since fallen into ruin.
Arnold wanted to run away.
But he gave up on the idea.
How could gods possibly exist in this world?
Arnold thought with bitter irony.
He would expose this lie.
Until holy light shone upon the castle, and everything returned to its true form.
The roses bloom. The god has arrived.
In this technologically advanced world,
a god is nothing more than a fantasy.
On the chessboard, everyone is a chess piece, and Su Yu is no exception. He doesn't want to follow the moves of the player. He wants to flip the board and become the one who plays.

“In the name of ultimate freedom, I shall die with you all.”
The black-haired girl was covered in totems. Her smile was radiant, yet cold. She raised her scythe and reaped the lives she had brought into the future, one by one, as though a mother were severing her child's umbilical cord with her own hands.
“The sea is the cradle of everything. We all live in the sea.”
His older sister told him that life was born from the sea, and ought to return to it. This was both a journey to death and a rebirth.
“I came from the future to the past, then from the past to the future beyond it. Fate is woven together at every moment. All you can do is accept it.”
