The drunk man howls and begs for mercy.

"Can't remember which hand?" The smile in the young man's eyes deepens, but his voice turns colder. "Then we'll ruin both."

As soon as he finishes speaking, the man hears the bones in his fingers snap.

Screams ring out in the dark alley.

In a luxurious private room on the top floor of Zong Zone, Qi Xing, dressed as a waiter, lounges on the sofa. A friend beside him teases him shamelessly: "You've been hanging around that little cop a lot lately! It's been months. Still haven't gotten him?"

Qi Xing quietly gets up and hands a bottle of liquor to the man in black behind him. Then he says, matter-of-factly, "Smash me with it."

The man in black doesn't dare. Qi Xing turns the bottle around and slams it hard against his own shoulder. The glass shatters, and blood stains his white shirt. He seems not to feel any pain at all, the corner of his mouth curving into a lovely smile. "I'd better pick up the pace."

Watching him walk out, everyone in the room thinks the same thing: What a lunatic.

A little over ten minutes later, Zhou Kaiyue comes across the injured Qi Xing while on patrol. His reason tells him to stay away, but his feet carry him over anyway.

Qi Xing looks up at him and smiles, his face pale. "You're not avoiding me anymore?"

Zhou Kaiyue silently helps him up.

If he could have avoided him, he shouldn't have met Song Qixing in the first place.
