Before the family dinner, Ming Yi's boyfriend told her that his younger sister would be bringing her boyfriend home the next day.
The next day, Ming Yi saw her ex-boyfriend, Lin Zhijian, at the family home.
Three months later, at her future sister-in-law's engagement party with Lin Zhijian, Ming Yi's boyfriend danced with his sister in his arms.
Her ex-boyfriend walked over with a glass of red wine and, watching the siblings twirl around the dance floor, joked, "This looks more like an engagement party for the two of them."
