The Delicate Little Flower Spirit in the 1980s

Bai Zhu is a little flower spirit, with an enchanting bloom and unbelievable beauty. But she's also delicate and difficult to care for. She can't be left in the sun or she'll wilt, and she can't get rained on or she'll fall ill.

After taking human form, she has to carry an umbrella whenever she goes out. She refuses to walk in the rain, sleeps only in the softest bed, and eats only the finest grains.

One day, she transmigrates into the resource-scarce 1980s and becomes a cannon-fodder supporting character in a melodramatic period novel.

As the daughter of the late comrade-in-arms of a senior officer, she is kindly taken in by the Lu family. But she takes advantage of their kindness, causing trouble and turning the household upside down, while doing everything she can to marry the officer's son, the cold-faced, fearsome older brother of the novel's heroine.

In the end, the Lu family kicks her out, and the cold-faced devil puts her through hell.

At the thought of it, Bai Zhu cries pitifully. She's learned her lesson! She'll leave as soon as she's saved enough money!

The daughter of the Lu family's late comrade-in-arms has been brought back from the countryside.

Everyone in the family compound comes to take a look. The little girl has skin as fair as snow, rosy cheeks, and an astonishing beauty.

It doesn't take long to realize she's even fussier than the Princess and the Pea.

Everyone shakes their heads. The Lu family has probably landed itself a huge headache.

But the little girl is spoiled rotten by the Lu family.

What's even more surprising is that the Lu family's always aloof and arrogant son, who keeps his distance from women and is renowned as a cold-faced devil, seems like a different person around the little girl.

Bai Zhu chokes on her food. The cold-faced devil looks disgusted, then has the housekeeper prepare fine grains for her every day from then on.

Bai Zhu refuses to get out of the car on a rainy day. The cold-faced devil is so furious the veins in his forehead bulge, but he still bends down, picks her up, and carries her home through the rain.

Bai Zhu is so delicate that she needs to sleep on the softest bed. The cold-faced devil has just finished scolding her when he turns around and asks someone overseas to buy the most expensive mattress.

Bai Zhu has a special talent: no matter how delicate and difficult to care for a flower may be, it becomes easy to grow in her hands. The few precious varieties she cultivates are so coveted that people fight over them. She's even invited to the first horticultural expo, where she wins the national gold medal!

At last, she's saved enough to leave the Lu family~

But the cold-faced devil traps her in his strong arms, his scorching lips at her ear as he growls, "Be good. You're not allowed to leave!"

The man has broad shoulders, a narrow waist, long legs, and an impossibly handsome face. His abundant masculine energy has already left Bai Zhu craving him beyond words.

But getting close to this man will bring bad luck!

Bai Zhu furrows her brow and thinks it over. Then she parts her pink lips and coaxes him, "How about you kiss me? Maybe if you do, I might..."

Damn it, that bad man hurt me!
